New blood test shows great promise in diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease
In a new study, American Medical Association Journal, Phosphorus-tau 217 (p-tau 217) measurements were found to provide a relatively sensitive and accurate indicator of both plaques and tangles corresponding to Alzheimer’s disease in living people.

The researchers evaluated a new p-tau217 blood test for 1402 cognitive impairment and healthy study participants from well-known studies in Arizona, Sweden, and Colombia.
Studies include:
