OSDH reports additional measles cases and releases potential public exposure locations

Oklahoma City, OK— today, Oklahoma Department of Health (OSDH) reports two more possible cases of measles. OSDH received a notification of the incident on March 14, 2025 and immediately began an investigation.
Through the investigation, OSDH has found that individuals are in public in the midst of communicability, poses a potential risk to the public.

It is recommended that individuals visit any of these locations within the date and time frame and provide their name and contact information if they have not been vaccinated, are not sure about their vaccine or immune status, or have concerns With this formand someone from the OSDH or Tulsa Health Department will contact you seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm for more information and guidance.
Individuals who may not be immune from vaccinations or previous infections should exclude themselves from the public environment for 21 days from the date of potential exposure
Additionally, if someone has experienced flu-like symptoms, fever, and/or a new rash disease and visits these locations during the identified time frame, they should be immediately removed from the public environment. If an individual needs to seek medical care, they should call their healthcare provider in advance to inform them of their symptoms and this exposure. OSDH Epidemiologist On Call 405.426.8710, 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week. Please let us know your symptoms. People with measles are contagious four days before the rash begins, four days before the rash begins.
In both cases, we reported exposures related to the Texas and New Mexico outbreak. Their first revelations were not from two individuals announced on March 11, 2025.
All four possible cases occurred in unvaccinated individuals.
Around Oklahoma Management Code (OAC) 310:515Measles is a reportable disease that can be notified immediately. OSDH must be notified immediately if the health care provider, laboratory or hospital suspects, tests, or diagnosis of measles is measles. Epidemiologists on-call must immediately notify 405.426.8710, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If notifications are delayed, OSDH will not be able to complete a timely investigation to determine public health risks, thereby delaying public notices necessary to protect the health of Oklahomans.
Delayed reports also affect their ability to confirm measles infection in tests.
OSDH is working closely with the Tulsa Health Department on the investigation.
