Two Measles Cases Confirmed in Prince George – NBC4 Washington
The Maryland Department of Health has confirmed two new cases of measles in the state.
The patient is a county resident of Prince George who recently traveled abroad.
Health officials say the new incident is People reported in Howard County earlier this month. The case was also connected to international travel.
Health officials have warned of potential exposures in several locations.

- March 5th, 13th, 15th and 17th at Kaiser Permanente Largo Medical Center

Prince George's County Health Department has confirmed a case of measles at John Hanson Montessori in Oxon Hill, according to Prince George County Public Schools. The last known exposure on campus was March 12th.
“The health and safety of our students and staff remains our number one priority,” the PGCPS statement read. “We are actively monitoring the situation with close coordination with PGHD, case tracking and implementation of necessary precautions.”
Those who believe they may have been exposed, especially those who have not been vaccinated, should monitor their symptoms for 21 days. If you experience a fever, don't call your healthcare provider before going to work or school and visiting an office.
“Measles is a very contagious viral infection. For those who have received the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine, the risk of contraction is very low. However, individuals who have not been vaccinated are at a very high risk of infection and complications,” the PGCPS statement said.
