Long covid patients feel rejected and unsupported by health care providers
A new study from Surrey University shows that people who live with long communities are often rejected by healthcare providers, incredible and unsupported.
This study Journal of Health Psychologysaw how long-term covid patients experience the illness. In this study, many patients felt that they had to prove physical to be taken seriously, and as a result, they often refused psychological support.

According to the National Statistics Bureau, there are 1.9 million people living with their longtime co-vids. Long COVID symptoms include fatigue, difficulty in focus, muscle pain, and shortness of breath. This lasts for weeks, sometimes months, after the initial Covid-19 infection.
Sally's study involved in in-depth interviews with 14 people in the UK between the ages of 27 and 63 who had been experiencing long covid symptoms for over four weeks. The group included 12 women and two men.
Saara Petker, clinical psychologist and research co-author and former doctoral student at the University of Surrey said:
“We found participants living a life of constant uncertainty and struggling to find treatment. People felt unlistened, and some said they lost their bodies and even their bodies due to the doctors, the social world and the whole experience.
“Medical advice is very important, but psychological support must be provided with caution. If it is considered a substitute for medical assistance, it can feel dismissal.”
