Three new deaths in the UK, 713 confirmed coronavirus cases
In the UK, three more deaths and 713 cases of coronavirus have been identified since yesterday.
According to the Department of Health, the death toll in the UK has reached 41,369.
This includes deaths not only in hospitals but in the entire community.
However, another number released by the British statistical agency indicates that there were 56,800 deaths registered in the UK for Covid-19 listed on the death certificate.
An additional 713 cases of coronavirus bring the total confirmed in the UK to 319,197.
The NHS England announced that another two people who tested positive for coronavirus died in hospitals in England, bringing the total number of reported deaths to hospitals to 29,460.
The patients were 81 and 86 years old, both with known underlying illness.
No deaths were reported and there were no positive Covid-19 test results.
Health officials say no more deaths have been reported in people who test positive for coronavirus in Wales or Scotland.
The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic in Wales remains at 1,589.
Public Health Welsh said the total number of cases in the country increased by 14 and the corrected total number of confirmed cases reached 17,575.
Nikola Sturgeon, the first minister, said a total of 2,491 patients died in Scotland after being positive for the coronavirus.
During the Scottish Government’s daily briefings, the first minister said that 19,358 people had tested positive for the virus in Scotland, increasing from 19,332 to 26 the day before.
The Ministry of Health began to publish daily fatalities again last week after absent for nearly a month.
Secretary of Health Matt Hancock has ordered an urgent review of how public health England calculates deaths from coronaviruses.
