East Ontario Health Unit has confirmed two measles
The Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) has identified two measles measles in the area.
The two have been isolated after contracting measles during a trip outside the area, Eohu said in a statement Friday.
The two are related, one had not been vaccinated against measles, while the other's vaccination status is unknown.
People who may have been exposed to these confirmed cases of measles have been contacted, Eohu added that the risk to more and more public remains low.
People, especially those born after 1970, need to check their vaccination records to ensure they are protected. Two measles vaccines are considered complete protection.

Eohu covers more than 5,000 square kilometres of eastern Ontario and serves approximately 200,000 people in United Counties of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry, Prescott-Russell and Conlwall. Eohu does not include the city of Ottawa, which has its own health unit.
