50 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore, including two in the community and five imported Singapore news and top stories
Singapore-There are 50 new cases of coronavirus confirmed as of Saturday afternoon (August 22), The total for Singapore is 56,266.

The other five import cases are work permits and work permit holders currently employed in Singapore. They arrived from the Philippines and England between August 7th and August 10th.
Another four import cases consist of dependent pass holders and extended stay pass holders arriving from India and the United Kingdom from August 8th to August 10th. Meanwhile, Tampines Mall, West Mall Cold Storage, and Century Square’s Food Junction Food Market have been added to the list of places visited by infectious Covid-19 patients.
Other places added to the list on Friday were Gek Poh Shopping Centre, All India Supermart, Haniffa on Dunlop Street, The Countryside Cafe on Dunlop Street, Georges by the Bay on Punggol, and Arthesdam Jewelery on Serangoon.
The ministry provided a list of places and times that infectious Covid-19 patients visited for at least 30 minutes, and had people who were in these places for a specified period carefully monitor their health for two weeks from the date of visit. The close contact had already been notified and had been cleaned if necessary, stating that it is not necessary to avoid these places.
