$30 million collaboration focuses on treating viral infections – Harvard Gazette
With Harvard University AbbVie Today we are announcing a $30 million joint research alliance Harvard Medical University (HMS) Investigate and develop new treatments for emergency viral infections, focusing on those caused by coronaviruses and viruses that lead to hemorrhagic fever.
The collaboration aims to rapidly integrate basic biology into preclinical and clinical development of new treatments for viral diseases that address a variety of treatments. HMS has led several large, coordinated research efforts launched at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
