PARIS (Reuters)-France reported 5,413 confirmed new coronavirus cases on Sunday, a slight decrease from the 5,453 seen on Saturday.
The Ministry of Health said the cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths increased from 30,602 reported on Saturday to 30,606.
The number of patients in the hospital was 4,535 compared to 4,530 on the previous day, and the number of patients in the intensive care unit increased from 400 to 402.
“In mainland France, the progression of the COVID-19 epidemic is exponential. We are very worried about the strong epidemic growth dynamics,” the ministry said in a statement.
