Quebec City lawyer warns health authorities associated with at least 30 coronavirus cases
Thirty cases of COVID-19, a disease caused by the novel coronavirus, was associated with a bar in Quebec City.
The situation at Le Kirouac Bar is “we are worried about a cumulative 30 positive cases,” said CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale, a regional public health authority in the region.
Over the weekend, public health encouraged those who visited the bar the previous week to take a test.

Le Kirouac bar made a statement on Facebook Monday, saying it decided to close the facility “on the unfortunate occasion” on weekends until September 9th.

“Our ongoing research has also shown us that the community has the virus,” said Dr. Jack Girard, interim public health director of CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale. ..
“I appeal to citizens’ responsibility and to respect the health measures in place, especially when there are alcoholic gatherings.”
On Tuesday, public health officials in the Quebec City area reported 31 new positive cases in the area, with no new deaths.
This resulted in a total of 2,093 cases and 197 deaths related to viruses in the region. There were 1,772 recovery times.
