Fort Bend County sees approximately 75% fewer new cases of coronavirus reported each week

Fort Bend County Health & Human Services reported 291 new cases of coronavirus between August 28 and September 3.
During the week from 21st to 27th August, the county had 1,102 new cases of coronavirus, a decrease of 73.6% per week.
Below is a breakdown of the number of new cases each day.

- September 1: 26th
- September 2: 53
- September 3: 45
From August 5 to 19, Fort Bend County reported an unresolved incident after accessing the state’s tracking system. During this backlog, the average number of new cases reported during the seven days skyrocketed to 448.57 on August 27.
As of September 3, the average number of new cases in 7 days has dropped to 48.5.
It was confirmed that 10 inhabitants of Fort Bend County died of coronavirus during week 3 from August 28 to September. This brought the total death toll in the county to 158.
To date, the county has reported a total of 15,081 cases of coronavirus. Of the total number of cases, the county estimates that 11,841 previously virus-positive have recovered.
Data from the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council shows data from August 28 to September. 3. The number of people in Fort Bend County hospitals receiving coronavirus treatment ranged from 34 to 54.
In addition, 16-21 coronavirus patients were in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
Hospitalization and ICU rates have returned to mid-June levels before the surge of cases and hospitalization seen in late June and July.
