5 deaths in ND, 394 new cases of COVID-19

Of the new positives, 74 were in Burleigh County, the most in the day, and 32 were in Morton County. Both counties accounted for 27% of the new cases.

There were 17 in Williams County, 64 in Stark County, and 33 in Ward County.

Five new deaths have been reported:

  • A woman in her 90s from Ward County
  • A man from Burleigh County in the 70’s
  • A man from Burleigh County in the 80’s
  • A woman from Burley County in her 80s
  • A woman from Burleigh County in her 90s

Everything had a fundamental health condition.
As a result of COVID-19, a total of 182 people have died in North Dakota so far.

According to official death records, 138 of them are directly due to COVID-19. Another 31 deaths are where COVID-19 is not the main cause of death. 13 death records are pending.

Recovery and active cases

The Ministry of Health reported that 13,828 people recovered from 16,723 positive cases, an increase of 160 from September 15.

Of the 2,713 active cases in North Dakota as of September 16, Burleigh County has 538 cases, the highest in the state. There are 453 active cases in Grand Forks County and 214 in Cass County. There are 226 active cases in Morton County.

Cass County and Grand Forks County jointly account for 25% of active COVID-19 cases in the state as of September 16.

As of September 16, Burleigh and Morton counties together accounted for 28% of active COVID-19 cases.

Stark County has 257 active cases, Ward County has 180, and Williams County has 197 active cases.

There are currently no active cases of COVID-19 in 9 16 counties (Townner, Sheridan, Slope).

State-wide activity cases initially peaked at 672 activity cases on May 21 and then on June 22, according to state health ministry figures (revised several times on specific dates). It began to decline until it reached a minimum of 213.

The peak of active cases was 2,393 on September 5.

According to figures, 83% of people in North Dakota who were previously COVID-19 positive have recovered from the virus.

Burley County (2,856 cases) and Morton County (996 cases) have so far accounted for 23% of positive COVID-19 cases.

There have been 759 positive cases in Williams County so far, with 1,193 in Stark County, 800 in Ward County, and 200 in Mount Rail County.
