Springfield-Green Co. Health Dept. has announced the deaths of eight new COVID-19 people.

 


Springfield, Missouri (KY3)-Springfield-Greene County Health Department reported eight new COVID-19 deaths in the county on Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Health, 37 COVID-19s have died in Green County this month. Due to these latest deaths, the Department of Health reports more COVID-19 deaths in September than last month’s total.

Health leaders have announced the following COVID-19 deaths:

  • Women in their 70s (no underlying illness other than age, regardless of long-term care)
  • Male in his 70s (has an underlying illness, independent of long-term care)
  • Women in their 70s (who had basic health conditions not related to long-term care)
  • Female in her 80s (related to long-term care and had basic health)
  • Female in her 80s (related to long-term care and had basic health)
  • Female in her 80s (related to long-term care and had basic health)
  • Female in her 90s (related to long-term care and had basic health)
  • Female in her 90s (related to long-term care and had basic health)

“You won’t lose sight of the people behind these numbers. Each death notice is someone’s mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, or friend,” said the director of Health Clay Goddard. “People who have had many healthy years before them are dying, and we must continue our role to protect each other.”

The Springfield Greene County Health Department has reported 67 deaths from COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

Who is at risk
