Outbreak of Covid-19 at Holton’s Bernard Matthews Turkish plant

After the outbreak at the turkey processing plant, 18 workers tested positive for Covid-19.
At the Bernard Matthews site in Holton, near Jerezworth, Suffolk, public health officials were brought in to test about 100 staff.
According to the company, those confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus were self-isolating, most of whom lived in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
Additional tests will be done next week.
According to a joint statement by Bernard Matthews and the public health authorities of Norfolk and Suffolk, food production and safety are unaffected in factories that employ approximately 1,000 people.
