Care Home’Waiting for coronavirus test results regularly for at least a week’
Despite the government’s promise that staff will be tested weekly, medical facilities regularly wait for more than a week for coronavirus test results, providers say.
The government promised to inspect staff weekly and residents monthly in July, but delays are said to prevent regular inspections.

During the same period, 746 tests were returned and the results were invalid.
Currently, 70 of the homes are experiencing outbreaks and 126 are closed to visitors.
