Another 61 people have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 in Dallas County, and another person died after being infected with the virus, a Dallas County Department of Health and Human Services official said.
In the latest case, the total count of cases in the county reached 549, with 11 deaths.
The death was reported as a man in his 40s who was found dead in a Dallas house. The man was reported to have another high-risk chronic condition.
No further information about the man has been released. Dallas County usually publishes detailed information about the cities that were found on Tuesday and Friday.
Approximately 65% of cases requiring hospitalization in Dallas County to date are older than 60 years or have at least one known high-risk chronic condition.
According to authorities, hospitalization is on the rise, with 36% of hospitalized patients requiring hospitalization in intensive care units.
