Basildon Hospital: Outbreak of Covid-19 “Under Control”
COVID-19 outbreak at Basildon Hospital has left several staff and patients Coronavirus..
Eight patients and 13 staff in the respiratory ward were all Covid-19 positive.

“This does not affect other hospital services. Patients need to continue to cover their faces, stay socially distant, and wash their hands as usual.”
Mayor of Basildon, David-Burton Sampson, defended the hospital following a recent visit. He states: “It’s very worrisome and proves how realistic the virus is.
“It also shows how fast it can spread. I’m convinced that this outbreak wasn’t due to a procedural failure.
“Depending on the severity of the condition, there are different zones in the Covid specific ward. There are many steps they are taking.
“This shows how serious this is and will not go away until vaccinated.”
