Just before the country was blocked, I got Covid. At that terrifying time, I really didn’t know what would happen if you got it. I started to feel pain, generally fluent, and started having sinus problems. Then, although it didn’t last long, I suddenly had a dry cough. It was until the 7th day that I really started having breathing problems. That was horrifying. I was still working perfectly on my laptop, but I didn’t know what was going on and suddenly I was out of breath.

This usually helps relapse asthma. Usually, when I take it, I immediately think “Oh, thank you” and feel a sense of liberation. I didn’t touch the surface this time.
It’s been half a year and my airways are still incorrect. Sometimes I’m embarrassed. Why isn’t it better than ever? Sometimes you can feel a little more normal and go for a few days, but then you will wake up one morning and it will soon return to a square. I can sit and notice that I have difficulty breathing. I am an elementary school teacher and have returned to school. It’s nice to get back to work, but you have to be very careful in such a busy place. I’m always thinking about when I’ll be out of breath next time, so I’m mentally tired.
I’m afraid to get it again, or get a normal winter bug that can exacerbate the symptoms. The practice of my general practitioner was very supportive, but even they seem to be at a loss. Some people seriously say, “I don’t know what to do next,” and ask for more advice. I just want a sense of security that this is not just my life right now. At only 50, it won’t be like this forever and you can find more cures.
