“Early detection is very important,” continues Dr. Williams.
Studies show that one in eight women develop breast cancer for life.
“Women start mammograms at the age of 40 and need to continue each year,” explains Dr. Williams.
She proposes several lifestyle changes that help reduce the risk of developing breast cancer.
“Healthy eating, healthy lifestyle, no weight gain, follow an exercise plan,” Dr. Williams adds.
Dr. Williams explains that genetics plays a major role in the study and treatment of women.
