List: Active COVID outbreaks in Colorado schools and restaurants
Colorado State University currently has 375 confirmed student cases of COVID-19, but CU Boulder remains the largest outbreak in the state.
Denver — Colorado colleges, kindergartens to high schools are currently experiencing 45 COVID-19 outbreaks.
This is due to a weekly outbreak report distributed by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). At the time of writing this article, in addition to 2,108 students, 60 staff from schools across the state tested positive for the new coronavirus.
The majority of student cases are in CU Boulder, with 1,527 confirmed COVID-19 student cases. This is a slight increase from last week when the university reported cases of 1,503 students.
Colorado State University in Fort Collins has been added to this week’s outbreak list with 375 student cases of the virus. This is the second largest school-related outbreak in the state.
At the time of this writing, there were no deaths associated with the outbreak of COVID-19 in schools in Colorado.
According to CDPHE, more new outbreaks have been reported in restaurants, grocery stores, and even the Colorado Rapids professional soccer team, with 17 staff members confirming cases of COVID-19.
Please see the COVID-19 occurrence information by category. It is worth mentioning that CDPHE classifies outbreaks into two or more cases, the numbers of which are cumulative. In other words, the number of cases is not equal to the number of people who get sick at one time.

School and childcare
Twenty-three of the 45 COVID-19s that occurred in schools in Colorado occurred in universities.
According to the data, seven of the outbreaks occur in fraternity and sorority at the University of Denver.

There are an additional 14 active COVID-19 outbreaks in daycare centers throughout Colorado. According to the data, a total of 29 staff and 26 participants tested positive for the new coronavirus in these outbreaks.
