Arizona reports nearly 900 additional COVID cases and 13 deaths
Phoenix — Arizona reported nearly 900 additional COVID-19 cases on Saturday. It reported the largest daily increase in weeks.
As the total number of cases across the state increased to 224,978 and the number of deaths increased to 5,759, the Department of Health Services reported 894 additional cases and 13 additional deaths.
Additional cases and deaths will be added to the state-wide tally as they will be reported to health authorities after they occur days or weeks ago.
The 894 additional cases reported on Saturday increased their counts to 1,753 and 1,281, respectively, as the state changed its counting method and added hundreds of past antigen test results daily, September 17-18. It was the largest daily increase since the day.
The state reported more than 800 additional cases on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and more than 600 additional cases on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The 7-day moving average for new cases in Arizona has risen over the past two weeks, rising from 489 on September 25 to 617 on Friday, according to data from the Johns Hopkins University analyzed by the Associated Press.
The state’s seven-day moving average of new deaths fell from 19 to 8 over the same period.
The number of infections is thought to be much higher because many people have not been tested, and studies show that people can get the virus without feeling sick.
Governor Doug Ducey’s office said on Saturday that COVID-19-related hospitalizations and incentive care beds and ventilator use by COVID-19 patients were seen last July, when Arizona was a national hotspot. Tweeted that it remained much less.
COVID-19-related hospitalizations in Arizona steadily declined until mid-September, after which they leveled off before a slight increase.

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price.
