  • Awakening: It was self-reported by participants and was based on the number of times they felt sleepy during the day.
  • Timing: Actigraphic measurements, including time spent sleeping and awakening.
  • Efficiency: Includes the percentage of time a participant sleeps in bed and was measured using an actigraph.
  • Duration: Sleep duration was calculated using an actigraph.

The results of the study showed that better sleep helps improve mindfulness the next day. The nurse who slept for a long time became more careful and careful. After an additional 29 minutes of sleep, they also reported better sleep quality and less sleep on the day. It was also reported that careful nurses were 66% less likely to experience symptoms of insomnia during the study period.
