Hamilton’s health official said the outbreak was an “unfortunate incident,” and after investigations revealed that outlets were following state guidelines, did the city and Ontario need stricter guidelines? I was wondering.

Dr. Richardson says that under city ordinances, local gym patrons can take off their masks when they start training. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be worn during physical activity, she says.

“If possible, we highly encourage people in those classes to wear masks throughout the class,” Richardson said.

According to an Instagram account statement, SPINCO remains closed and is waiting for further instructions from the city before reopening.

The operator says he is “committed” to opening the door again at some point.

Smith says she will come back through her trials, as the closing could not be better treated by Jim, who regularly checks her.

“They send personal emails and offer to buy groceries to help your family’s situation,” Smith said.
