Free County Clinic in San Diego – NBC7 San Diego
As the flu season approaches and the COVID-19 crisis continues, public health officials in San Diego County are calling on locals to get flu shots as soon as possible and for free.
County offers Some free flu vaccination clinics Throughout San Diego, including the North Central Public Health Center on Ruffin Road in Kearney Mesa. The location will offer a free flu vaccine Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm.
County health officials say it is especially important to be vaccinated against the flu this year, as the coronavirus pandemic is still affecting our area. It is hoped that the more people will be vaccinated against the flu, the fewer flu-related hospital visits to already very busy facilities.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone over 6 months be vaccinated against influenza each year. Influenza vaccines are safe and effective.

The county operates a free vaccination clinic from the rest of October to November. These clinics are designed for people who do not have medical insurance. You can also get a flu shot at a retail pharmacy or clinic.
