Atlanta (WGCL)-During the flu season during the pandemic, doctors are urging everyone to get a flu shot.
Demand is currently very high, and some parts of Atlanta’s Metro Atlanta are short of high-dose influenza vaccines designed for the elderly aged 65 and over.
Nancy Nydam of the Georgia Public Health Service said the Georgia Public Health Service had heard that there were no shipments along the way and that some small providers were in short supply. She also said DPH was told when she got all the vaccines she had ordered in advance.
Health departments in Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale County report that the supply of high-dose vaccines is very limited.

A CVS Pharmacy spokesman told CBS46 that he had recently been vaccinated against the 9 millionth flu this season. This is the total amount given last season.
