She said there were 33 open cases in these settings, for a total of 451 cases.
The number of deaths is continuously increasing.
In the first three weeks of October, 60 potentially confirmed Covid cases died, 24 of which were associated with the development of a nursing home.
Professor Philip Nolan, who heads the team to track the progress of the virus, said the spread of the disease has generally increased among the elderly.
He said the incidence of people over the age of 65 has doubled or tripled in the last three weeks.
