The Covid-19 Ireland case will be updated when 552 new infections and two more deaths are confirmed.
Ireland has recorded an additional 552 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
Tragically, two more died after fighting the deadly virus.
The latest figures are released in a statement from the National Public Health Emergency Team.
The total number of cases in the Republic is 62,002 and the death toll is currently 1,915.
Dublin again had the highest number of 173 new cases, with 86 cases of cork.
Limerick was 30, but the remaining 223 are scattered across all other counties.
The new cases were divided into 275 men and 275 women, with an average age of 36 years.
Of those diagnosed, 63% are under the age of 45.

The 14-day cumulative case rate in Ireland is currently one of the lowest in Europe.

Chief Medical Officer after 416 new cases were confirmed on Saturday Dr. Tony Holohan He said the country is moving in the right direction, but it’s not time to get hooked.
Dr. Holohan said: “We are making progress in curbing the current rise in COVID-19.
“Ireland is currently one of four countries in the EU with a seven-day declining incidence.
“Nationwide, our reproduction number has dropped to about 1.0.
“We are working collectively to achieve restraint, but it is too early to mitigate our efforts.
“The incidence is declining in young adults, but continues to increase in ages 75 and older.
“There’s still a lot to do, but it’s going well.”
