Ministry gives disinfection tips under home quarantine
Doha: The Ministry of Public Health recently published a poster listing recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting tableware, clothing, bathrooms and surfaces under home quarantine.
List these important guidelines for cleaning surfaces and bathrooms:
- Hands should be washed with soap and lukewarm water for at least 20 seconds before and after washing.
- Assign one healthy person without risk of cleaning or disinfection.
- Clean and sanitize frequently touching surfaces (tables, chairs, door knobs, light switches, remote controls, handles, desks, washbasins, stair railings, bed frames, etc.) daily.
- For disinfection, dilute household bleach is used (from 1 part bleach to 99 parts water). For surfaces that do not allow bleaching, 70% ethanol can be used.
- Clean and sanitize bathroom and toilet surfaces at least once a day.
