Obamacare Reduces Mortality on Three Major Cancers-Consumer Health News
Thursday, November 5, 2020 (HealthDay News)-Extended Medicaid passed in some states as part of affordable care law significantly kills newly diagnosed breast, lung, and colon cancers A new study reveals a decrease.

Early studies have shown that Medicaid is associated with increased cancer screening and early diagnosis.
In this study, researchers used the US National Cancer Database to track more than 523,000 newly diagnosed patients with breast, lung, or colorectal cancer between 2012 and 2015.
“The expansion of Medicaid is associated with a significant reduction in mortality compared to states without such expansion,” said Dr. Mirandalam of the Department of Public Health, Harvard University, Dana-Farber, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. I found out. “
Under the expanded Medicaid, researchers found a 2% reduction in mortality between pre-expansion and post-expansion. No change was seen between states that did not expand Medicaid.
