The Cass County Health Department announced another COVID-related death yesterday, resulting in a total of 12 deaths from the virus in the county.
Heath officials say the patient was a man in his 70s. The Illinois Public Health Service confirmed 26 new cases of COVID-19 in Cass County yesterday, seven of which are related to outbreaks in unnamed care facilities.
There are currently 95 cases of viral activity in Cass County, two of which are currently hospitalized.
Health officials in Brown County also confirmed the death of a male resident in his 60s due to COVID-19.
There are currently 56 virus activity cases in Brown County.
The Morgan County Health Department today identified 50 additional cases of COVID-19, including 3 residents and 6 staff members of Heritage Health.
Morgan County Health Authorities say the number of confirmed cases currently in 1,245 has been adjusted by one after contact tracing discovered that one previously reported case belonged to another county. ..
There are currently 180 active cases in Morgan County, and 337 are currently in quarantine. Currently, 15 residents of Morgan County are hospitalized, and so far 30 people have died from the virus.
Green County confirmed 22 new cases on Friday. Green County health officials say all 22 cases are community-acquired pneumonia and are associated with outbreaks, parties and rallies in several workplaces. Greene currently has 123 active viral cases.
