New deaths in hospitals in Lancashire due to a 151 increase in UK tolls
Seven more patients died in a Lancashire hospital after a positive test for Covid-19.
Since the start of the pandemic in March, the county hospital has killed 1,408 people.
The Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, which manages Preston Hospital and Chorley Hospital, recorded four deaths.
Two patients died on November 5, one died on November 6, and one died on November 7.
The University Hospital of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust recorded two deaths on November 6th and one on November 7th.
The latest NHS England update released this afternoon (November 8th) recorded no further deaths at the Blackpool Teaching Hospital, East Lancashire Hospital, Southport and Ohmskik Hospital NHS Trust. ..
The UK NHS publishes daily deaths recorded by each hospital trust over the last 24 hours.
These are deaths if the person is tested positive for the virus or if COVID-19 is listed on the death certificate.
NHS England’s daily figures may include previously uncounted deaths that occurred days or weeks ago.
Deaths in long-term care facilities and communities are not included.

The number of coronavirus patients dying in UK hospitals has increased by 151.
This figure kills 122 people in England, 23 in the northwest, 19 in Wales, 3 in Scotland and 7 in Northern Ireland.
A week ago, 137 hospital deaths were confirmed, but two weeks ago that number was 90.
A month ago, on October 8, health officials said 58 people had died after being infected with Covid-19.
In the last 24 hours, the number of confirmed cases has exceeded 50 million, but the number of deaths worldwide is about 1.25 million.
According to the latest Ministry of Health data, the virus has been mentioned in more than 62,000 since the outbreak of the pandemic, with 48,888 deaths in all settings.
