“The only study I know is the one that actually wipes people out on a daily basis, the one in Oxford / AstraZeneca, and hopefully we’ll get that data by Christmas.
“So you will get some sense of what it does to the infection. I would be very surprised that these vaccines do not substantially reduce the transmission.

“They may not completely eliminate the ability to propagate the virus in your nose, so there may still be a risk of getting there at low levels, but obviously that is something we have to explore. It must be. “
