New data show that the second blockade was the last to grab before “may have spread the virus”

Britain’s second blockade leak caused a rage of movements that may have spread Coronavirus, According to a new study.

Travel movement data captured a dramatic increase in the number of people traveling on the same day when news of the second blockade was leaked to some newspapers-Saturday, October 30.

The study looked at London’s CityMapper app and found that in just five days, travel surged 10 percentage points to the highest level since March 16.

The chairman of the investigation into the outbreak in Britain said rumors of the blockade could have increased the number of infections as early as November 2.

Professor Paul Elliott of Imperial College London, who leads the influential REACT study, said:

“It’s a very tight timing, but something happened.”

The blockade leak increased the level of movement and some people attacked stores to start (or end) Christmas shopping.

Google Sky News has tracked movements across the country and reported a clear rise everywhere leading up to the blockade.

From Milton Keynes to Middlesbrough, Wokingham to Worcestershire, and Bedford to Blackburn with Darwen, people are said to have been out for several days before the blockade.

All of Google’s move data from Cambridge, Southampton and Kingston upon Hull (three very different cities) experienced the same clear surge, Sky News reports.

In addition, according to the five-day data, trips to parks and workplaces remained stable as jumps were “retail and recreation,” or virus-spreading behavior.

Public health experts fear that a surge in movement before future limits will make it difficult and even impossible to impose.

Professor Paul Hunter of the University of East Anglia in Norwich said:

“If we increase the spread of the disease before the blockade, it could make us think twice about future blockades.”
