The illness of a woman who “attacked her inside out” was mistreated as Covid

The woman “attacked her inside out” and talked about how she received the wrong treatment for the coronavirus while suffering from a catastrophic illness that made her unable to walk.

Amy Murphy has been fighting symptoms such as severe cramps and blood in her urine since Easter 2019, but “did not want to worry” so she decided not to go to the doctor.

Suffering from turning symptoms on and off throughout the year, the 34-year-old was finally diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (UC) (inflammation of the lower end of the digestive system) and given medication to treat it.

After being diagnosed in January 2020, Amy suffered from respiratory complications in April. Coronavirus.

However, it turned out to be non-infectious pneumonia caused by intestinal drugs and immunosuppressants.

Talk to Liverpool Echo, “My body was just attacking myself and causing inflammation,” the mother said.

“During Easter 2019, I had a terrible cramp and noticed blood when I went to the bathroom, but I didn’t go to the doctor.

“It must have been a flare-up because it didn’t happen after a few days, so I just ignored it.

“But it happened again a few months later and then stopped again. I didn’t go to the doctor, I didn’t even tell them.

“I’m not afraid to go to the doctor, but I don’t want to bother. I didn’t feel sick at the beginning, stop, or feeling, so I thought I was really tired.”

Having avoided a doctor all year long, she was told that she was suffering from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) when she went to the hospital on Christmas Eve and the pain became so severe.

She was sent home and could even make a complete Christmas meal for the whole family, despite the doubling of pain.

However, her symptoms worsened dramatically and she said she couldn’t walk by December 29th.

After spending the next four weeks in the hospital, Amy was finally diagnosed with UC and given medication to treat her digestive disorders.

She states: “I had an infection. I must have been infected 6-7 times in 4 months.

“I was a few days away from surgery, but fortunately my body began to respond to the drug. I lost weight and was very weak, but was sent home.

“Then I started losing lumps of hair. Pee blood. I had an unknown bruise on my entire face. I had blisters on my arms and hands. Then I started having difficulty breathing.”

In April, Amy from Merysdie, England, said she was out of breath and was afraid she might have been infected with the coronavirus during the blockade.

She says she has since been treated with the coronavirus twice.

She states: “I had a bad breath, rushed to A & E, stayed in the hospital for 5 days, and was told I was Covid.

“I found that I had side effects with bowel medications and immunosuppressants.

“I made a mistake in treating Covid-19 twice. On my third hospitalization, I was placed in the Royal Infectious Diseases Ward on a CPAP machine.

“It wasn’t Covid, it was pneumonia caused by my gut drug / and / or / immunosuppressant.”

By June, Amy said she had “worst flare-ups” and had the worst levels of inflammation previously.

At this point, Amy said she wanted to have surgery because she was “no longer able to live in pain.”

Amy is currently living with a ileal fistula bag, improving her health and no longer facing painful symptoms.

She states: “Ileostomy life is a million times better than the pain that UC can give you.”

She had heard about Crohn’s disease before, but said she wasn’t very familiar with colitis and wanted to achieve more awareness of UC, symptoms, and how to find them.

She said: “You should never ignore blood, as I did. I advise everyone to go and check out.”
