The latest COVID-19 victim man in his 60s in the Waterloo region: Public health
Waterloo Public Health has announced COVID-19-related deaths in the area twice a week.
“I’m sad to hear another death where COVID-19 is believed to be contributing to our community,” said Dr. Hsiu-Li Wang, a local health officer, in a statement.
“I would like to express my deepest sympathies to my family and loved ones. I was a man in his 60s and had a fundamental condition.”
The number of deaths from COVID-19 in the region has risen to 123 in the news on Sunday.
Authorities also announced 61 new positive tests for coronavirus on Sunday, increasing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the region to 3,019.
In addition, 55 people cleared the virus and the number of cases resolved increased to 2,555.
There are still 341 active cases in the area, including 21 in the area’s hospital.
