Boston (WHDH) – Public Health Service report 3,224 newly identified coronavirus cases in a delayed report containing 30 hours of data instead of the usual 24.
A total of 207,284 cases have been reported in Massachusetts, with an estimated 41,439 active cases, with a daily test positive rate of 2.5%.

Fifty-three new deaths have been identified, and the number of confirmed virus-related deaths has increased to 10,372 across the state.
Currently, 942 people are hospitalized and 208 are being treated in the intensive care unit. The average age of inpatients is 66 years.
The delay in reporting on Wednesday was due to a technical issue that resulted in an interruption in data downloads.
The virus is thought to spread primarily from person to person, usually between people in close contact with each other, through the respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
From November 8th to November 21st, 7,051 people aged 20-29 were positive. The highest positive rate by age group.
Next were 0-19 years old at 5,924 years old, followed by 30-39 years old at 5,740 years old. The lowest age group reported was over 80 years of age, with only 1,113 confirmed cases in the two weeks.
