Thousands – 6PR behind a petition to legalize e-cigs
The Liberal Democratic Party of Western Australia today submitted a petition to Congress to legalize the use of e-cigarettes in Western Australia.
The petition, sponsored by Legalize Vaping Australia, has received more than 7,000 signatures and requires the WA government to lift the ban on the sale of liquid nicotine and vapor-breathing devices. It is currently legal to buy e-liquid (without nicotine).
According to a group, research shows that smoking is less harmful than smoking and helps people quit traditional cigarettes.
Liberal Democratic Party leader Aaron Stonehouse, Western Australia, told Oliver Peterson that it was not a lamp for nonsmokers to switch to cigarettes, despite warnings from the federal health minister.
“Greg Hunt is completely full of junk,” Stonehouse said.
“The majority of smokers are those who quit smoking.
The overall health benefits are clear. The UK and New Zealand are promoting e-cigarettes instead of smoking. “
Stonehouse claims to save lives by legalizing vaping.
