Coronavirus cases increased to 60,733 in the UK-938 deaths recorded

According to public health, there are currently 7,097 deaths in the UK related to coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health and Human Services also revealed that there were 60,733 confirmed cases of the virus.

According to government statements, as of 9:00 am on April 8, 282,074 tests were completed, and on April 7, 14,682 tests were performed.

“232,708 people were tested, of which 60,733 were positive. As of 5:00 pm on April 7, 7,097 of those hospitalized in the UK who were positive for coronavirus died sadly.”

The news came when Welsh PM Marcus Drakeford suggested that the UK extend the blockade.

The First Minister of Wales stated that home measures would not end in Wales after the Easter weekend, and agreed that the nature of the extension would be announced shortly.

On Wednesday, Drakeford confirmed plans to take the latest steps at the second virtual Welsh Parliamentary plenary session, which was held at a video conference.

His announcement came after a further 33 deaths following a coronavirus diagnosis in Wales, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 245.

An additional 284 cases were identified as positive in Covid-19, with 4,073 cases identified, but the actual numbers are likely to be higher.

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness that can affect the lungs and airways. It is caused by a virus called coronavirus.

Outbreaks began in Wuhan, China in December 2019, and, like other types of viruses, the virus is thought to be animal-derived.

Because this is such a new disease, experts do not yet know how it spreads. However, a similar virus infects cough droplets. Therefore, it is advisable to cover your nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing and discard used tissue immediately. Viruses like the coronavirus cannot live outside the body for long.

The NHS states that the symptoms are dry cough, high temperature, and shortness of breath, but these symptoms do not necessarily mean that you are sick. Watch out for flu-like symptoms such as pain and soreness, stuffy nose, runny nose, and sore throat. Some people can be infected, but it is important to remember that they can cause symptoms and make you feel sick.

What precautions can be taken?

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. The NHS also recommends covering your mouth and nose with tissue or sleeves (not your hands) when coughing or sneezing. Put used tissue in the box immediately to avoid close contact with people who are unwell. If your hands are clean, do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.

As of Monday, March 16, the government advised that everyone needs to maintain social distance-avoid unnecessary travel and work from home if possible . Anyone with cough or cold symptoms must be isolated by the whole family for 14 days.

The government is now instructing bars, restaurants, and theaters to close and will review them on a “monthly” basis. The school was closed for the time being on Friday, March 20, and exams were canceled.

Individuals over the age of 70 or living with vulnerable or underlying illnesses are required to be extra careful at home and isolated.

Should we avoid public places?

Current advice is to avoid public places and unimportant travel. Overseas travel is also banned for at least the next 30 days, and many European countries have closed borders.

What should I do if I feel sick?

Use NHS 111 if you feel sick of coronavirus symptoms, are in a country where you are at high risk for coronavirus in the last 14 days, or have been in contact with a person who has been infected with the virus.
