Prior to November 12, the state had never reported more than 1,000 cases. In total for the past 19 days, it has exceeded 16 times, and 5 times has exceeded 1,500 cases.

“COVID-19 is spreading faster in all parts of Oregon,” OHA director Patrick Allen said in a prepared statement. “If we stay true to science-based masking and social distance expansion, we can prevent more people from getting sick and dying. • An 85-year-old woman in Marion County, positive on November 19, died at the Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center on November 28.

• A 48-year-old man from Multnomah County who was positive on 22 November and died at the Legacy Emanuel Medical Center on 25 November.

• An 83-year-old man from Multnomah County who tested positive on 17 November and died at home on 25 November.

• A 78-year-old man from Multnomah County, positive on November 5, died at Adventist Hospital on November 19.

• A 58-year-old man in Washington County died on October 25 at the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center after a positive test on October 31.
