Israel has recorded 1,227 new cases of coronavirus in the past day

Israel’s new daily coronavirus cases on Monday exceeded 1200 for the first time since October 16. Deputy Health Minister Joav Kish said on Tuesday.

Of the 56,000 tests performed, 1,227 were confirmed, with a positive rate of 2.2%.

Currently, 264 people are in critical condition in the hospital and 99 are on ventilator.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,865 people have been infected with the virus.

As of Tuesday, the number of people fighting the virus was 10,513, and Jerusalem leads the country in the number of infections with 1,413 active illness patients.

The blockade of Israel’s largest Arab city, Nazareth, was extended until the weekend due to the high prevalence reported there. Restrictions have been imposed on other Arab cities and neighborhoods suffering from increased transmission.
