A man named William Shakespeare is the second to get the COVID-19 vaccine in the UK
William Shakespeare himself is part of the question and chooses vaccination.
The historic name was shared by a second man in the United Kingdom to receive Pfizer’s approved COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday, outside of clinical trial participants.
An 81-year-old man (Bill to a friend) lives in Warwickshire, England. It is only about 20 miles from the actual Bird hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon.
The historical significance and historic name of the moment caused some fun on social media in the midst of the seriousness of the pandemic.
The famous Shakespeare quote was diverted on this occasion, referring to “Vakubeth” and “Influenza tame”.
In fact, I heard that the second person to be vaccinated was Christopher Marlowe, but William Shakespeare acknowledged all the work.

There is a year like 2020, and never.
Even vaccine scheduling has its own lifespan.
I was first vaccinated at the age of 91.
The second is William Shakespeare. no kidding. That is his real name.

Margaret Keenan was the first person to receive the Covid19 vaccine and is patient 1A. Since William Shakespeare was the first man, will he be 2B or not 2B? # COVID vaccine

Shakespeare was vaccinated in front of the camera and then spoke briefly. He didn’t even feel the needle and said he was happy to contribute.
“It may make a difference in our lives in the future,” he said.
Shakespeare’s vaccination followed the 90-year-old Margaret Keenan’s vaccination. She was the first jab in the UK’s COVID-19 vaccination program and launched an unprecedented global effort to end a pandemic that killed 1.5 million people.
Keenan, a retired clerk from Northern Ireland celebrating his birthday next week, was at the forefront of Coventry University Hospital to receive a vaccine approved by British regulators last week.
The United Kingdom was the first Western country to provide the general public with a widely tested and independently reviewed vaccine. The COVID-19 Shot was developed by US pharmaceutical company Pfizer and German BioNTech. US and European Union regulators may approve it in the coming days or weeks.
“Are you all done?” Keenan asked the nurse May Parsons. When the hospital staff applauded and applauded as she rolled down the hallway, she replied, “It’s all done.”
“I’m very honored to be the first person to be vaccinated against COVID-19,” said Keenan in a blue “Merry Christmas” T-shirt with a surgical mask and a cartoon penguin wearing a Santa hat. Told. “After spending most of the year alone, I’m finally looking forward to spending the New Year with my family and friends, so this is the best early birthday gift I can hope for.”
Fanfare cheered up the people, albeit only for a moment. Authorities warned that vaccination campaigns would take months. This means that painful restrictions that disrupt daily life and punish the economy are likely to last until spring. In the UK, the pandemic has killed more than 61,000 people, more than any other country in Europe, with more than 1.7 million confirmed cases recorded.
“It really feels like the beginning of the end,” said Stephen Pawis, director of health care for the United Kingdom’s National Health Service. “2020 was a really scary year. Going to the cinema is confusing. You can get them back. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Not next month. But in the coming months.
But it’s important across these coasts. The UK program may provide lessons for other countries to prepare for the unprecedented task of immunizing billions of people.

On Saturday, Russia began vaccination with the Sputnik V vaccine, and China also provided citizens with domestically produced shots and began selling them overseas. However, vaccines from both countries are seen differently because they have not completed late-stage trials that scientists consider essential to prove that serum is safe and effective.
Other vaccines are being considered by regulators around the world, including a joint study between Oxford University and AstraZeneca, a pharmaceutical company, and a vaccine developed by US biotechnology company Moderna.
A document released by US regulators on Tuesday confirmed that Pfizer’s vaccine appears to be strongly defensive and safe against COVID-19. According to early test results from the UK and Brazil, new results on the potential of the vaccine by Oxford University and the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca suggest that it is safe and about 70% effective. However, the report showed in the medical journal The Lancet that questions remain about how useful it can be in protecting people over the age of 55.
UK regulators approved the Pfizer Shot on December 2, and the country received 800,000 doses, enough to vaccinate 400,000 people. The first shot is aimed at people over the age of 80 who are hospitalized or already scheduled for outpatient appointments, as well as nursing home workers and vaccination staff.
Others have to wait, and health officials say those at highest risk of the virus will be vaccinated early. For most people, it will be next year that enough vaccines will be available to expand the program.
UK health officials have been working for months to adapt systems for vaccination groups such as school children and pregnant women to systems that can reach large numbers of the population quickly.
Questions arose as to when Queen Elizabeth II, 94, and her husband, Prince Phillip, 99, would be vaccinated and if it would be done on the camera.
Foreign Minister Dominic Raab looked futile when asked about it by NBC.
“I don’t know if they will do it with the camera, but I’m sure the arrangements will be made according to the step-by-step approach I’ve set up. Like any other family, they surround this pandemic. Pressure and all worries too “
800,000 doses are only a fraction of the amount required in the UK. The government is the first phase of a vaccination program that puts the highest risk people first, targeting more than 25 million people, or about 40% of the population. From a virus.
The program will be expanded as supply increases, and vaccines will be offered from oldest to oldest, approximately based on age group. The UK plans to provide the vaccine to all people over the age of 50 and to young adults whose health is at greater risk.
In the UK, the first wave of the program provided vaccines to 50 hospital hubs, and it is expected that more hospitals will provide vaccines as deployment progresses. Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales have their own plans under the UK’s delegated administrative system.
Since the Pfizer vaccine must be stored at minus 70 degrees Celsius (minus 94 degrees Fahrenheit), distribution of the Pfizer vaccine has been delayed due to logistics issues. Authorities are focusing on large distribution points because each package of vaccine contains 975 doses and we do not want to waste them.

The UK has agreed to purchase more than 350 million doses from seven different producers. Governments around the world have reached agreement with multiple developers to ensure that the delivery of products that are ultimately widely approved for use is fixed.
All these logistical challenges culminated on Tuesday with Keenan’s vaccination by Parsons, a Filipino nurse who has worked for the NHS for 24 years.
“I’m happy to be able to play a part in this historic day,” she said. “The last few months have been tough for all of us working at the NHS, but now it feels like there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
