Ontario reports 1,873 new coronavirus cases, 17 deaths
Ontario reported 1,873 new cases of novels Coronavirus On Saturday, the total number of cases in the state will be 138,504.
Seventeen deaths were also reported, increasing the state’s death to 3,933.
“Locally, there are 522 new cases in Toronto, 436 in Peel, 185 in the York region and 109 in Hamilton,” said Health Minister Christine Elliott.
“There are an additional 1,918 resolved cases.”
A total of 118,350 cases are considered resolved. This is 85.4% of all confirmed cases.
Over 65,200 additional tests have been completed. This is the best ever. Ontario has currently completed a total of 6,904,453 tests, with 67,654 under investigation.
The state showed that the positive rate on the final day was 3.2%. This is the same as Friday, down from 3.4% last Saturday.
The number of people hospitalized for the virus was 855 (up 47), 237 in the intensive care unit (up 2), and 143 on ventilator (up 19).
The newly reported numbers in Saturday’s report were retrieved from the database on Friday afternoon. The hospitalization number is valid from Thursday.
The following is a breakdown of the cases in Ontario by age and gender.

- 17,304 people under 19 years old
- 50,669 people are 20-39 years old
- 39,722 are 40-59 years old
- 19,965 people are 60-79 years old
- 10,823 people are over 80 years old
The state states that age and gender are not reported in all cases.
The state also notes that the number of cases reported daily publicly may not match the number of cases reported by the local public health department on a particular day. The local public health unit will report when the case is first notified. This can be updated and changed when the information becomes available. Data may be pulled at different times.
According to the Ministry of Long-Term Care, 2,381 deaths have been reported between residents and patients in long-term care homes throughout Ontario, an increase of 15. Currently, there are 128 outbreaks in long-term care homes. 3 reduction.
There are 585 caregivers and 648 staff members.
