Quebec reports an additional 40 COVID-19 deaths and 1,898 cases-Montreal
Quebec reported on Saturday 40 additional deaths associated with COVID-19 and 1,898 new cases of coronavirus disease.
According to public health officials, 14 of these deaths have occurred in the last 24 hours and the rest have occurred earlier.
According to the Ministry of Health, the hospital currently has 860 people, a decrease of 11 from Friday. Of these, 129 were in the intensive care unit, an increase of 6 from the previous day.

Quebec conducted 39,415 COVID-19 tests on Thursday. This is the latest day when the data is available and the day with the highest number of tests performed per day since the pandemic began.
The National Institute of Public Health in Quebec states that there were an additional 1,624 recoveries from the new coronavirus.
Quebec reports a total of 161,921 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 7,475 deaths associated with the virus.
