El Paso County, Colorado (KRDO)-The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reported Wednesday that 48 COVID-19s died and 731 COVID-19s increased in El Paso County.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, El Paso County has had 33,019 COVID-19 cases and 377 COVID-related deaths.
As of December 8, El Paso County has a cumulative 2-week incidence of 1,211 and an average 2-week positive rate of 15%.
KRDO contacted the El Paso County Public Health Service on the numerous deaths reported Wednesday, a spokesman said, EPCPH cannot comment on how the state collects their death data, but reports delays. There was some delay.
According to public health intelligence officer Michel Hewitt, 49 people died in El Paso County between December 1st and December 7th.
In Pueblo County, the number of deaths reported on Wednesday surged as well. According to the state, 28 new COVID-19 deaths and 290 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Pueblo County.
