El Paso firefighters and healthcare workers are vaccinated against Moderna
The city of El Paso announced on Monday that it will receive 3,000 vaccinations this week as part of the first phase of deploying the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for first responders and healthcare professionals.
“The El Paso Fire Department and the Public Health Service are expecting vaccination shipments to arrive this week. This first shipment from Modana will be 900 times for firefighters and 2,100 times for healthcare professionals. Included, “Mario Dagostino, chief of the El Paso Fire Department, said in a news release. “These doses are distributed to our members in preference to front-line people who are in constant contact with our community, including fire department and test site personnel.”
The City of El Paso’s Public Health Service also encourages healthcare providers to participate in the fight against pandemics by becoming COVID-19 vaccine providers.

The agency requires local healthcare providers, including pharmacies, to become a COVID-19 vaccine dispensing site by registering with the Texas Department of Health for regular vaccine allocations.
“It is only through the participation of the entire community by our fellow healthcare providers that we make the vaccine widely available and easily accessible to all El Paso city-county residents in our neighborhood. “Public Health Director Angela Mora said in a news release.
According to Mora, the simple registration process requires the provider to have an active National Provider Identifier / Texas Provider Identifier number. Healthcare providers are required to report vaccine usage in accordance with all recommendations from the Immunization Advisory Board.

CVS launches vaccination program
On Monday, CVS Health announced that it has officially launched a COVID-19 vaccination program for long-term care facilities where pandemic-affected residents are imbalanced.
