Two men in their 40s out of four new COVID-19-related deaths in North Dakota

The deceased (two men and two women) were from Burleigh, Grand Forks, and Williams counties. The two men were in their 40s and the women were in their 80s and 90s.

Only 19 residents in their 40s died of COVID-19 in the state. In North Dakota, 1.4% of people infected with the virus die.

The state added 133 new cases of the virus on Saturday. Fargo’s Cass County leads the state with 27 new cases, and Bismarck’s Burleigh County adds 13 cases. Rolette County and Williams County, Williston each reported 11 new cases.

Grand Forks County has a total of eight new cases. Morton County, Ramsey County, and Ward County each added seven new cases.

Burns, Benson, Bottin O, Bowman, Dicky, Emmons, Hettinger, Logan, Mackintosh, Mackenzie, McLean, Mercer, Mount Rail, Oliver, Richland, Stark, Steel, Stutzman, Townner, Trail, Walsh, Wells The counties each reported no more than 6 new counties with COVID 19 cases.

New cases emerged from 3,219 tests with a daily positive rate of 4.5%.

The department reported 73 new recovery. About 96% of people infected with COVID-19 have recovered in the state.

Active cases throughout the state increased slightly from Thursday, December 24th. The number of active cases increased by 8 from Thursday to a total of 2,329 on Saturday.

Cass County’s 530 active cases led the state on Saturday, down 16% from last Saturday’s figures.

Over the last seven days, active cases in Burleigh County have decreased by 27%. The county recorded a total of 283 active cases on Saturday.

Ward County posted 153 active cases on Saturday. Stutsman County, Jamestown, recorded 138 active cases.

Grand Forks County aggregated 132 active cases on Saturday, and Williams County and Morton County reported 121 and 112 active cases, respectively.

Nationally, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 18,391,571 COVID-19 cases and 325,096 deaths as of Thursday afternoon.
