Oregon released 1,416 new confirmed estimated COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 22 of which occurred in central Willamette Valley and five new deaths, all in Linn County or Benton. It wasn’t from the county.
Since mid-March, Oregon has killed 1,427 COVID-19s and 109,725 have been caused by the new coronavirus, according to Oregon Health Department statistics.
Linn County added 16 new cases on Sunday. The county now has 32 COVID-19 deaths and 2,542 deaths during the pandemic.
There are 6 new cases in Benton County, with 11 deaths and 1,296 deaths since mid-March.
Last week, Linn County added one new death and 201 cases, and Benton County added two deaths and 81 cases.
According to OHA data, an additional 86 people have died and 6,795 have been infected with COVID-19 in the last seven days.
On Sunday, OHA also reported cases in the following counties: Clackamas (127). Clatsop (6); Colombia (6); Couse (18); Crook (1); Curry (8); Deschutz (34); Douglas (10); Gilliam (1); Hood River (3); Jackson (67) Jefferson (2); Josephine (60); Klamath (89); Lane (23); Lincoln (16); Marul (12); Marion (362); Tomorrow (2); Multnomah (117); Pork (44) Thiramukku (3); Umatilla (29); Union (3); Wasco (28); Washington (280); and Yamhill (43).
