Rhode Island Nursing Home Immunization Initiatives Begin Monday | National

Rhode Island Providence (AP) — Efforts to administer the coronavirus vaccine to approximately 7,500 residents and 10,000 workers in nursing homes throughout Rhode Island will begin on Monday.

According to authorities, it may take several weeks for all qualified individuals to receive the first dose of the vaccine, which is approved by CVS and Walgreens pharmacies in collaboration with state health authorities.

The effort begins at long-term care facilities in some of the state’s most devastated areas.
