Governor Ron DeSantis, passed last week, declared the senior population as the next priority group, and county leaders in Central Florida are now working to make that happen. Today, Seminole County officials are hosting a vaccine distribution event for people aged 65 and over in Oviedo Mall. Those in line had to book and pre-register online in advance. We are told that these reserved slots will fill up soon. >> I never had the idea of going this fast. In fact, we were concerned about all the conspiracy theories related to vaccines. We wanted to offer this service to Community Mega. They expect to open more appointments this week, but are currently booked by January 2nd. In Orange County, civil servants are holding a distribution event for the first respondents. In Osceola County, the Ministry of Health is set to receive shipments today or earlier this week and serve the first responders as well. Registered people can also receive an email with the latest information about when the vaccine will be available.
