South Carolina continues to report numerous new cases of the coronavirus, with the majority of virus tests returning positive.
In a report on Tuesday, 27.1 percent of the 8,139 tests were positive for COVID-19.
The SC Health and Environmental Administration has provided the latest information on vaccination. The state reported 112,125 doses of the Pfizer-Bio N-Tech vaccine, according to a report on Tuesday. On Monday, authorities vaccinated 84,500 long-term care facility-specific moderna vaccines.
Vaccinations are underway for health care workers and residents of long-term care facilities.

There were 108 new cases in Charleston County. Berkeley, 79; and Dochester, 62.
A patient in Dorchester County died after being infected with the virus, DHEC reported Tuesday.

Of the 22 new deaths reported, 4 were patients aged 35-64 years and the rest were 65 years or older.
They lived in Anderson, Bamberg, Beaufort, Dochester, Greenville, Lawrence, Oconee, Orangeburg, Pickens, Richland, Saluda and Spartanburg counties.
Hospitalization
Of the 1,954 patients admitted with COVID-19 as of Tuesday, 379 received intensive care and 189 were on ventilator.
How many cases were found in the long-term care facility?
